NCTA’s Board of Advisors is an avenue for higher level engagement and visibility throughout the year for our Members. Advisors serve as a resource by providing advice and feedback; growing the organization through community outreach; and promoting NCTA as the primary voice for North Carolina's tech sector. The caliber of participants is high, and there is strong mutual benefit. Participants have ranged from those who have interest in eventual service on our governing Board of Directors, to those who seek a more visible level of engagement with NCTA leadership, to those who value the relationships that are developed here.
Who is eligible? Each NCTA Member organization may have (1) representative on the Board of Advisors. See roster below.
What are the benefits? Complimentary registration to certain annual signature events; exclusive invitation to select VIP receptions and briefings; printed and/or virtual visibility at events and on the website; inclusion in exclusive NCTA leadership input opportunities (national and state sector surveys/reports/etc.); and added opportunities to connect with business leaders in the state's Technology Community. The ROI on participation is realized quickly.
What is the investment? $600 annually, billed at the time of your organization’s NCTA Membership renewal (we’ll pro-rate the amount for those joining now so that future billing will be aligned with your organization’s regular membership renewal month).
What is the time commitment?: Service on the Board of Advisors is calendar friendly! There are no meetings, per se. We convene about once a quarter (most often in conjunction with existing events/activities on our calendar) and communicate virtually with a monthly executive newsbrief and through an exclusive LinkedIn group. We also give Advisors first dibs on special offers that come NCTA’s way (private suite at a sporting event, seats at the NCTA table at business awards events, etc.).
