Programs:Knowledge

NCTA engages members by executing quality programming through intimate gatherings that spark unique networking opportunities and provide robust knowledge sharing.  Our programs are focused on peer groups and business topics and provide an opportunity for our members to sharpen their knowledge, share experiences, build relationships and learn about current and emerging technology issues.

Intersection Breakfast (Quarterly)

The Intersection Breakfast leverages our members as subject matter experts to tackle topics that impact the technology industry in North Carolina, such as emerging technologies and trends, improving business efficiency, identifying and retaining talent and virtual networking.  The program is designed to be an interactive panel and will provide members the opportunity to tour the hosting company’s facilities.

Charlotte WISE (Quarterly)

The Charlotte WISE program is a peer network of business leaders whose mission is to provide opportunities for women to achieve their personal and professional goals.  The primary initiative is to feature women in the forefront of the technology industry through quarterly events and promote STEM careers.

CIO Connection (Quarterly)

The CIO Connection is a forum for CIOs and executives responsible for IT infrastructure or applications to share best practices and collaborate.  The roundtable format fosters an open discussion between information executives on challenges and opportunities similar to their own.  NCTA will utilize member resources to connect CIOs in Charlotte and RTP so they can exchange best practices and ideas.

CEO Roundtable (New in 2009)

NCTA will launch a CEO Roundtable for North Carolina-based technology companies of all sizes.  This forum will give CEOs of start-up technology companies an outlet to discuss similar challenges and issues with their peers.  The CEO Roundtable will also encourage experience sharing and mentorship for younger entrepreneurial CEOs to access and interact with seasoned CEOs.

Membership Receptions (Quarterly)

Membership Receptions provide an opportunity for members and non-members to network, learn more about NCTA and meet and greet with staff, the NCTA Board of Directors and fellow members. These informal receptions are a great way to learn more about how to engage with NCTA and take advantage of the events, exposure and resources of our network to return value for your membership investment.

National Leaders Symposium

The National Leaders Symposium is NCTA’s annual September trip to Washington, D.C. for members to participate in briefings with national leaders from a wide range of agencies. NCTA brings our membership together with public leaders, federal officials and the North Carolina Congressional Delegation for two days of policy briefs and dialogue.
