NCTA connects thought leadership and professional development by providing unique platforms to expand your professional network throughout the growing technology community.

We do this through three different types of events, our Signature Events, Councils, and our Program Events.

Signature Events are NCTA’s premier, well-recognized annual marquee events which draw hundreds of leaders, innovators and influencers who impact the economy in North Carolina and beyond. Visit the Signature Events page to see complete details and a listing of these annual events and sponsorship opportunities.

Councils are perfect opportunities for our action-oriented members to become engaged in NCTA activities.  Identify an issue you’re passionate about and make a difference. Working together to find solutions to challenges and improve processes through one of our councils helps members develop both North Carolina’s technology community while building their professional network at the same time.

Programs allow NCTA members to become engaged via intimate gatherings that spark unique network opportunities and provide robust knowledge sharing.  Our programs are focused on peer groups and business topics and provide an opportunity for our members to sharpen their knowledge, share experiences, build relationships and learn about current and emerging technologies.

Have a recommendation for a topic or speaker?

We welcome recommendations for speakers and topics for all of our signature events, programs and councils.  We give first priority to members of NCTA, but will consider speakers from outside the membership depending upon the topic of interest. Our events, programs and councils are designed to provide content that is educational to our membership and therefore we have specific criteria that we will consider in inviting speakers for our events.

Criteria to consider when submitting a speaker recommendation:

  • Lessons on Leadership:  Keynote speakers, authors and futurists that would be of interest to technology executives across the state
  • Emerging technologies and trends that companies would be interested in hearing about
  • Business Topics that are relevant to the technology industry and technology leaders
  • Focus on a technical issue or topic of interest to the technology community
  • Talk about lessons learned from a project involving technology or a business decision at the leadership level
  • Educate or provide training to members on technology related topics
  • Focus on business models or practices enabled by technology
