Ready to Scale? Consider the Cloud, AND...
presented by NCTA Affinity Partner:
It has been said… “What got you here, ain’t gonna get you there!” Cloud-based technology solutions have certainly made dramatic growth more accessible and affordable. NetSuite, for example, offers a fully integrated business suite of CRM, e-Commerce, Inventory management, and accounting. Other, similar tools such as Results.com and even Google Apps have gained traction in recent years. But, implementing such systems usually requires transforming your organization while you are fighting for market share, and often fighting internal culture changes. How have other business leaders been able to do both simultaneously while driving rapid growth?
To answer this question, we have brought together CEOs from 3 local organizations who either have, or are in the midst of, scaling & transforming their organization for dramatic growth. We will use a panel discussion format to tell their stories, describe their challenges, and outline their solutions to achieving their goals while minimizing their risks.

Joe Dunn – Founder and CEO of DunnWell. Joe started DunnWell with a handful of employees and a promise to a few customers that they could deliver high quality, affordable fire protection services to national brand restaurants, nationwide. Fast forward eight years, and the business had grown to serve hundreds of businesses, generating $30M in revenue with 60 employees and its own cloud-based technology. It was acquired by Cintas in 2012.
Rod Brooks – President & CEO of Stop Hunger Now. This NC-based Non-Profit organization has an ambitious vision of a world without hunger! It started with a handful of dedicated believers in 2000 and now has about 80 employees in 17 major cities throughout the US, who engage many more local volunteers to assemble nutritious, and easy to prepare meals, which are distributed throughout the third world. Their strategic plan calls for expansion on the order of 3X internationally in the next 3-5 years.
