Allan

Sharon Allan

Senior Executive

Accenture

Sharon Allan is a senior executive with Accenture’s utilities industry group and leads the smart grid practice for North America.  She has more than 25 years of experience in the technology services industry in various executive and management roles and 12 years in the utility sector.  Prior to joining Accenture, Sharon was most recently with Elster Integrated Solutions (EIS) where she was President.  In this role Sharon owned overall business and growth strategy including the development, operations and support of smart metering systems and solutions that enable the smart grid, environmental sustainability, and consumer empowerment. 

Sharon has also worked with technology and science-based products companies where she held a variety of executive and management roles in business and product development.  She has testified before FERC, state regulatory commissions and has spoken at a number of energy and water industry events.  Sharon has an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Florida.  She is located in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Lee Congdon

As CIO at Red Hat, Lee Congdon is responsible for Red Hat's global information systems, including the technology strategy, enterprise architecture, information technology governance, solutions delivery, and systems operations supporting the company. His role includes enabling Red Hat's business through services such as knowledge management, technology innovation, technology-enabled collaboration, and process improvement.

Congdon has more than 25 years experience as an information technology leader. Prior to joining Red Hat, he was Managing Vice President, Information Technology at Capital One where he developed and delivered information technology solutions for the firm's corporate functions and Global Financial Services group. Before Capital One, Congdon was Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, at Nasdaq, where he led the organization's efforts to identify, implement, and operate technology solutions for Nasdaq Japan, Nasdaq Europe, and other strategic global ventures. Earlier, at Citicorp, Congdon led multiple global technology initiatives for the private bank and the corporate bank. Congdon began his career at IBM as an operating system developer and held several technology and technical marketing positions of increasing responsibility with that firm.

Congdon holds Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from Purdue University and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

A self-taught software programmer, Jesse has been involved in internet technologies since 1999. In 2001, he became President of Rapidata.net, a pharmaceutical market research company. In just two years, he helped grow revenues at Rapidata.net by over 500% and laid the foundation for the company's acquisition by Greenfield Online. Subsequent to Rapidata.net, Jesse co-founded and served as CEO for the web site development firm novelProjects.

Jesse founded ShareFile in late 2005. In just over 6 years, he has helped grow ShareFile from zero to almost 20,000 corporate customers, over 100 full-time employees, and over 3 million users. Jesse graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University with a degree in philosophy in 2000.

Stovall

Jeff Stovall

City of Charlotte

Mr. Stovall joined the City of Charlotte as its first Chief Information Officer in 2008.  Reporting to the City Manager, he is responsible for leading the City’s enterprise technology initiatives and recently led the City’s technology preparations for the 2012 Democratic National Convention.  He was previously the director of IT merger integration planning for Sprint Nextel, responsible for leading multiple post-merger integration efforts. 
Mr. Stovall’s background also includes leadership positions in corporate transformation management, telecom product development and marketing, and industrial project engineering.  He has been recognized in ComputerWorld’s Premier 100 IT Leaders for 2012, by InformationWeek as one of the top 50 CIOs in local, state and federal government (2011), and as one of the 50 Most Important African Americans In Technology by eAccess Corporation (2009-2012). Mr. Stovall received his MBA from the Darden School at the University of Virginia, and his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
