Triangle Technology Jobs

Shortly after WWII, state leaders recognized the need to revitalize a sagging North Carolina economy. With three of the state's major universities located within a 30 mile radius, it only made sense to invest in the creation of a research and development park in the Raleigh-Durham area, thereby creating opportunity for triangle technology employers and the area’s skilled and educated workforce.

Often referred to as “RTP”, the Research Triangle Park area is home to some of the most highly regarded research universities in the country. The area draws its triangle technology intellect and talent primarily (but not exclusively) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Duke University and North Carolina State University. Complimented by a sound infrastructure of area community colleges and other area research universities, these institutions provide an ever growing talent pool, making RTP a center for innovation in technology. Triangle companies and research facilities employ roughly 40,000 people including technicians, managers, scientists and engineers. These include Nobel and Pulitzer Prize winners as well as recipients of the US Presidential Award.

To this day, Research Triangle Park and the many organizations located within play a significant role in revitalizing the state's economy, each creating triangle technology jobs while reaping the benefits of the region's high tech talent. While there are more voluminous job sites, few are as highly targeted as the NCTA Job Board. Those looking for Triangle technology jobs can view employment opportunities in the RTP area without incurring a fee. Triangle area tech companies can post employment opportunities at very little cost - starting at $200 for non-members and free for NCTA members.

Whether you're looking for your first IT job or to advance to the next step in your IT career, visit the NCTA Job Board or upcoming Triangle job fairs and discover what Triangle technology jobs are waiting for you.
